Christmas Festivities

So I'm obviously a little behind on my posting, but I couldn't just pretend like Christmas never happened and move onto 2009.

My old roommate Heather (and soon to be my roommate again) used to throw a gingerbread party every Christmas. It was always such a good time I decided it would be a perfect house-warming party for my new place. So a few MBA friends and people from work came over and we had a great time. Something about kids and a table full of candy that guarantees success.

Despite the traveling chaos (you don't even want to know), Christmas at home was fabulous. The perfect vacation and can really be summed up in the letters....Wii :) Our family has never owned a gaming console of any kind and even though I'm a big Wii fan, I can already see the addiction forming....I think Madden 09 may just disappear one day :) Wii Sports on the other hand, that is my favorite. I was sore for days after kicking Parker's trash in tennis and then thoroughly getting destroyed by him in boxing.

The other great thing about Christmas....Maija's delicious caramels. I ate more than I could possibly count and loved every one of them. For many reasons I am so glad she's part of our family, but especially for those caramels.

The week was topped off by watching all the Anne of Green Gables movies. It was something my dad and I did a few years ago and it might have to be a tradition every Christmas. Who doesn't love Anne Shirley?
