A Husband, a Few Sons, or a Gardener

Rumor has it, springtime is coming. It doesn't stay warm for more than one day at a time in Arkansas, so I have my doubts, but I thought it was time to start on the yard work just in case.

So I set out Friday evening to get my backyard cleaned up. My backdoor neighbor has a beautiful pine tree that hangs over into my yard as well as a few other trees and with all the wind around here, my yard is covered in leaves and pine needles. 3 hours, 7 bags of leaves, several blisters, and no daylight left later, I was not even close to done :( My backyard is MUCH bigger than I thought. And it was at that moment that I decided I either needed a husband, a few sons, or a gardener. Considering my current social opportunities, I think my best shot is to hire a gardener. I'm making the call on Monday.

Here's a picture of all my "mini" piles. I started to create one big pile and it was not working out, hence the small piles all over the yard.

Good job. Way to be a homeowner. Now where's my checkbook so I can pay the gardener??
(j/k. I would actually love to have my own yard to tend.)

so great! It can't be near as bad as picking up 100 rocks a day all summer! :) hahahaha

T- Christina and I did the same thing 2 weeks ago and we had a similar experience. I haven't had a chance to blog about it yet, but we got in a fight with some bushes and won!!
