F-U-N in 2010 continues.....

I am at risk of not posting for a long period of time once again, so I am happy to report on the F-U-N happenings of the past 29 days.

First, a very fun visit to one of my favorite places in the world. Thank you to United for offering ridiculously cheap weekend fares to San Francisco.

Breakfast at Ann's....my mouth waters just thinking about the french toast.

I also happened to be in town for our friend Avis' birthday bash. This is one of the most anticipated events of the year. She does a special trivia and you never quite know what is going to be said. This year she had a question to guess the first couple to get engaged in 2010. None of the people she named were actually dating, so it's sort of like she's a fortune teller as well. Hilarious.

Avis with all the men.
Marisa eating the chocolate fondue with a gigantic spoon. We did have a chocolate fountain, but before the party started a couple of the men tried to figure out how it worked and broke it. Also, hilarious.
Five of my favorite people including Steve rockin the sport coat. All men should wear sport coats.
Other F-U-N excitement, the annual Rigby Super Bowl Party. I have been to a lot of Super Bowl parties in my day, but no one throws a better party than the Rigby's. It's really all about the food and there are all kinds of prizes for bringing the best dish. There's also a quiz about the game with questions like "Who are the starting quarterbacks?" and "How much did a 30-sec commercial cost?". And of course there are prizes for that as well.

This is my Arkansas family.

Nathan and Spencer....evidence of the Bro-mance.

And the most F-U-N of all, a weekend in Dallas with two of my favorite aunts. I would love to post pictures, but I didn't have a spare second to take any as I was painting from the second I got there until the wee hours of the morning and then up again at the crack of dawn baking 24 dozen cookies.

Aunt Lucy decided to repaint several rooms in the house and all the ceilings before Matt leaves on his mission next week. Aunt Eva felt guilty for all the times Aunt Lucy helped her paint, so she came down to join the party. And party it was.....in addition to working nonstop, I laughed nonstop.

Grandma Haynie said it best "We have a family tradition of service" and I love working beside my family. It's just been awhile since I've done it and apparently I've gotten soft because I was exhausted by the time I got home. Now I understand a little better how the in-laws feel.

Eva told me you had gone down there and helped. You are awesome. And it sounded like so much fun. I agree with amber. And I am going to be craving Ann's breakfast for a long time. I've never been there, but the pictures look SOO GOOOD

ditto to everybody else's comments! It looks like a blast and so jealous you got to go help paint! I was lucky enough to help Eva paint at her house a few months back and it was a blast, so I can only imagine how amazing it was with her and Lucy! :)

As happy as I am that you are having fun it sure does make my life of work seem even more dismal...but we're on the count down. I only have to work 7 more Saturdays (weeks) til April 15th!!
