Despite my best intentions....it happened

A month went by without a post on my blog. I really did have good intentions. I even thought of three blog posts. I just never actually sat down and wrote them. So I'm starting with what I was thinking about today.

These two pictures pretty much sum it up.

The first is of an olive tree in the Garden of Gethsemane and the second is of the empty tomb (both taken on my trip to Israel). I have been thinking a lot about these two places for several reasons. The first obvious reason being that Easter is coming up and this is often the time we reflect on the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The second being that a bunch of friends are leaving for Israel this week and I desperately wish I was going with them. The miracle of the Holy Land is not actually being there, but how you feel and what you remember when you're home. And the last reason I have been thinking about these two pictures is because of the many miracles I have observed in my life over the last few months. One of those miracles is the power of the Atonement to change hearts. There is no other way to explain the changes in behavior that I have seen and I am grateful to have witnessed it.

I also remember my trip to Israel but being the non-photographer that I am I don't have good pictures like these. Thank you for sharing and yes I would like to go back someday but I don't think Mom is into it. Love you!!!!
