The Gardener

I have such good intentions of posting regularly....in fact, I often take pictures expressly to put them on my blog. They just never quite make it there.

So here are a few shots of what has been taking up much of my free time outside of the office. I'm sort of like a five year old when it comes to my garden. Anyone who talks to me on the phone at night when I'm watering my plants knows that I talk about my plants like they're my kids and I get really excited when a new flower blooms or really mad when something dies. Some of these pics are a few weeks old and it's been sunny for the past week, so everything is blossoming and so lovely. Everyone is welcome to come visit and check it out in person.

I promise to post something slightly more exciting after the official summer kickoff weekend. I love Memorial Day weekend. It's usually the first trip of many over the summer and it just gets me so excited for the many pool/beach days, snow cones, family reunions, rodeos, and fireworks to come. Memorial Day Weekend 2010 promises to be one like no other before. Against my better judgement and somewhat hesitantly, I am headed to the infamous Duck Beach and I'm sure there will be many stories to share. Stay tuned....

Wow, your yard and gardens look amazing! I was just given a little potted flower for my kitchen and I somehow killed it within a week. I'm not sure if I over-watered it, or under-watered it, or a combination of both...I have a long way to go before I will be a gardener, but hopefully I'll get there someday.

Gorgeous Tara! You did a great job planting all of those beauties! My fave is the pot by your door. I love when small things bring such joy! I am the same way with my flowers...
