So even though this picture is from Seattle, it deserves a post of its own. Warning....this post illustrates my slightly obsessive behavior with the card game Nerts. If you haven't played it, it's a little like Solitare and Speed in pairs. I know that doesn't make sense, but that's the best comparison. Over the last few years I've lived in Palo Alto, we've developed somewhat of a Nerts league. What all started as fun and games one 4th of July has become quite competitve.
For those Nerts players out there, please notice the perfect height and roundness of this table. It supports what Karen Duffin has so affectionately dubbed STO. The height and circumference allow for an ideal number of teams without anyone bending over too much or being disadvantaged by having short arms. I think I'm going to have to start calling restaurant supply companies to see where I can get one

You do love this game, I still need to learn how to play since Speed is my all-time favorite card game. Next time we are together, you must teach me!
